Description
The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 was introduced with effect from 7th September, 1970 to regulate the employment of contract Labour in certain establishments and to provide for abolition of contract labour in certain circumstances and for other connected matters. Application in triplicate in Form no. 1 shall be made to the concerned ALC along with the fee for registration. Contractors shall have the license to employ contract labour. Application for license can be made in triplicate in Form no. 4 to the concerned ALC along with fee and a certificate from the principal employer in form no. 5. Contractor must pay the security deposit at the rate of rupees 10 for each worker. In case of cooperative society the security deposit is rupees 5 for each worker.
